Does acid rain burn if it hits organisms? Can it kill them?
ReplyDeleteI'm also very surprised by how much acid rain has been reduced since 1995!
Would new clean coal technology prevent sulfur dioxide emissions?
ReplyDeleteWhat happens to humans when they get rained on by acid rain?

OH wow!
ReplyDeleteThat would be scary if we started to burn or something!

One time when I was little, I stuck my hand out of the window of my car(we were near factories and such), and it was raining. The rain I felt was stinging my hand! I had no idea what it was, and then my family explained to me the concept of acid rain. Personally, I liked the first animation more -- the second one was a bit childish. Both of them were very informative!!!

ReplyDeleteI really like the EPA animation. It was really detailed and right to the point. : 0
ReplyDeleteSo what happens if we get rained on with this acid rain? Is it going to kill us?
i really have no idea, but im pretty sure that acid rain doesn't burn your skin :)
ReplyDeleteOwen,
ReplyDeletei just looked it up, and acid does burn your skin, but because acid rain is so weak it doesn't burn your skin
fia, it s was probably just the wind blowing the rain on your skin
This is why I don't like rain ..
ReplyDeleteIf there is acid rain can there be acid snow?

Can acid rain really be "cleaned" without the long natural cycles?
ReplyDeleteMichael N. 7I
Is there acid rain all over the world, like in remote places where there aren't many factories and people aren't polluting the air?
ReplyDeleteIf someone stands out in acid rain for an extremely long time, can it do damage to them?

What happens if we got rained on by acid rain? Would the acid rain burn us?! Tht would be really creepy!
ReplyDeleteSome people like spinning around in the rain and laughing, so if they swallow acid rain, what happens?
ReplyDeleteI'm doing acid rain for my project so this helped.
ReplyDeleteSylvie,
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure there can be acid rain even in places where people don't pollute, because the particles can travel, and so can the clouds. Also, the water cycle is constant, so if acid rain rains in a lake it can evaporate and then be brought somewhere else.
would we get burned if we got wet in acid rain? The whole idea of acid rain is pretty scary..

Hi Leslie,
ReplyDeleteThe umbrella picture is funny. But can acid rain really burn big gaping holes right through the fabric? If not, do you think that in a few years, as sulfur dioxide levels get worse, it will be able to?
I was wondering if people could forecast acid rain before it happens like they can forecast normal rain and such...
ReplyDeleteI'm never drinking rain water again...

wow this is great!
ReplyDeleteWOOOOO Thanks a bunch, it helped me with my project FOR THE WIN.

A lot of people think that acid rain is like, burning acid that melts stuff or something. But it's really just a bunch of chemicals that can erode rocks and poison a few things. It produces a lot of damage, but it's not like it dissolves everything it touches.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I was wondering: is acid rain more frequent in certain places? Where?
yea! It helped me on my project big time! :)
ReplyDeleteLeila 7f
Wow thanks leslie this really helped me with my photo essay!
ReplyDeleteAlso the umbrella pphoto is cute hahahahshsahha
Thats so cool, wow i had no idea acid rain had that much of an impact on the environment!

So aren't we eating acid rain if it hits animals like chickens and pigs? It would kill us ugh.
ReplyDeleteAndrew 7E
This helped for my acid rain project. I didn't get a chance to comment earlier, but thanks for posting this Leslie!
