This is very interesting... I think the same reaction happens when you touch something too hot, or too cold. I can imagine how fast these sensory receptors travel back and forth!
Let's say you touch something very hot, yet you keep touching over and over again.The sensory receptors would just have to keep running around, right? Even though touching a burning pot over and over again would be pretty stupid.
