Current Events: Three Win Nobel for Ribosome Research

  7. I think that the Nobel Prize this year was awarded for better research than last year. This discovery about how the cell could create proteins from DNA is truly amazing. Last year's fluorescent proteins didn't have much to do with life.

  12. if obama didnt win the peace prize greg mortenson from 3 cups of tea (we all had to read that book this summer) would have. my parents voted 4 obama and i like him, but i would rather have greg mortenson win...wat about u ppl?

    what Greg mortenson did was incredible. It just goes to show that one person can make a huge difference in the world.

  14. I completely agree with what Radhika and Peter said!! Greg Mortenson is amazing. Imagine building schools for people!! That is really awesome!! Sort of like what my sister in college did. She helped build homes in New Orleans.
