Test your cell knowledge!

How quickly can you identify the parts of an animal cell? The microscope?

Post your times below! Can you beat me?

  1. My score was 100% in 0:31.9 for the microscope game and 93% in 0:38.5 for the cell game. I mixed up vesicle and lysosome - it's so hard to tell the difference between the two in this game! Does anyone know what a vesicle is?

  2. no.i don't know what a vesicle is.
the microscope one was pretty easy, but i can't remember what the diaphram is... unless we've suddenly jumped to learning about the human body.

  4. A vesicle is something that transports material around the cell.

  5. I don't know what a vesicle is. My score for the microscope game was 100% in 0:31.5! But I didn't do well on the cell game at all!

  6. A vesicle is a bubble of liquid within a cell. More technically, a vesicle is a small, intracellular, membrane-enclosed sac that stores or transports substances within a cell.
    (chicken pox) is a vesicle

  8. My score for the microscope game was 100% in 21.9 seconds!! (that's pretty good for me!)

My score for the cell game was...well,I would prefer not to say it. I don't know/remember what a vacuole is and i don't remember some of the placings...

  11. " vesicle is a bubble of liquid within a cell. More technically, a vesicle is a small, intracellular, membrane-enclosed sac that stores or transports substances within a cell. Vesicles form naturally because of the properties of lipid membranes (see micelle). Most vesicles have specialized functions depending on what materials they contain." I got this defintion from wikipedia but to refphrase it: a vesicle is a bubble of liquid that was formed because of the membrane in a cell.It transports things to and fromthe cell as well(kind of like the golgi body!)

  24. I did okay on both quizzes, but I wasn't really using my brain. We should have more competitions in class. The winners can get candy and other cool stuff! I found this quiz online about cell membrane diffusion and osmosis: http://www.quia.com/cm/15426.html?AP_rand=799646966

  28. The cell one was hard!
I didnt get the centriole thing!
    I got 68% in 48.9 second!
I thought that one was confusing!
The bowl things that was for the lysosome and the _______! was confusing!
But the second time I got 81% in 30.2 seconds!!
    So Im improving!

  29. For the microscope one I got 100% in 19.5 seconds!
I find microscopes easier than cells! I dont know why!
Maybe cause I got extra classes during the summer. I had math, science, and ela! It was boring but I guess it was worth it!

  30. My score for the microcope was 36.8 seconds, and the cell 26.4 seconds, both 100%.

  31. i did really well on the microscope one, but pretty bad on the cell one. It's really difficult to differ the vacuole, vesicle and lysosome, especially in an animal cell.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I did badly... very badly...
ANyway, thanks leslie for taking my advice and posting "games" on your blog!
Love it though! I want more!
